It’s that time of the year again. Most people think of fall heading into winter as the flu season. It may be true, but does not mean we cannot do anything about it. There are a lot of natural ways to boost our immune system and naturally fight the virus.
- Proper Sleep: We all know that ideally, we should be spending 8 hours of our day to sleep. However, this becomes harder to follow as we grow older and face the strains of work and family life that may cause sacrificed sleep. Regardless of the struggle, we have to consciously make time for sleep and rest. Studies show that sleep loss causes our immune system to dwindle down. To make sure we take care of our body, find time to sleep, no matter how hectic your schedule may be. Power naps can go a long way, too.
- Regular Exercise: Exercise does not just keep people fit, it also increases endorphins, bringing joy! This generation is where people can easily spend the whole day without any form of exercise, as almost everything could be done online. The key is making sure you allot an hour or two for periodic exercise. You can do it in the morning before work. If your workplace is not very far from home, you may opt to walk your way there. You may also want to try walking to where you’ll have your lunch. Any opportunity that can take you away from your sitting hours,is a great idea. On your free days plan to do your favorite outdoor activities!
